I wish to convey my very deep appreciation and gratitude to Your Excellency for the strong support you have always extended to the work ot the United Nations and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and towards me personally.
Your stalwart efforts as the “Father of development” of Indonesia for well over three decades have left a deep imprint on the fabric of Indonesian society. Your Excellency’s championing of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77 will likewese be remembered for a long time to come.
